Groundless ground

"Groundless Ground" is a project and performance explored by Manon Siv Duquesnay and Dasha Lavrennikov, with Manon Siv Duquesnay, Dasha Lavrennikov, Oriane Paras, Lindon Shimizu, and Pablo Zamorano listed as performers at Teaterøen.

The project explores the concept of "hovering vulnerability" and the experience of being a "migrating mover," with collaborators and conversations deepening its performative, conceptual, and visceral explorations. "Groundless Ground" is an open-process that evolves and continues to surprise, rather than solidifying as one particular format.

“Groundless Ground” is a concept-driven, exploratory duet by Lavrennikov & Duquesnay, first staged in major European venues (Bornholm, Madrid, Copenhagen, Barcelona, 2018–2019). It probes embodied experience beyond conventional grounding—physically, philosophically, socially—through an intimate, risk-infused dialogue of bodies and space.
