Little collection of everything – Dani Lima
This contemporary dance piece debuted in May 2013, in Rio de Janeiro. Since then, it has toured several cities in Brazil and Japan and has achieved a great repercussion in the specialized midia. It is directed to everyone, both children and adults.
Four dancers create poetic collections on daily banalities, inventing new categories while arranging objects, gestures and movements. Hundreds of objects, different in color, shape and function, are spread throughout the stage. Working as dance partners, they are brought to compositional games, displacing both our normal perception of them and the gestures and metaphors which constitute the world we live in. Objects can turn into shields, microbe suckers, spaceships, dance partners. Red, green, blue, yellow, ... Birthday stuff, objects which will make you cry, supplies you should take on a trip to the Moon... Floating gestures, circling gestures, lifting, shaking, celebrating gestures... Each collection resets usual perceptions we may carry on objects and its actions, transforming the scenic space.
